5 ⚾️ Names You Might Not Have Heard of Before, But Could Turn Heads This Spring
Spring Training is here, with games just about here, which makes this a great time for looking at yet another list of names who could see their card values increase over the next month or so.

This is not buying or investment advice. I’m simply reporting the data I’m seeing. Please do your own research and make your own decisions. Just because cards have increased in value up to this point, it doesn’t mean they will continue to do so.
I’m getting all of this data from either the the Market Movers or Card Hedge platform. There are not my platforms, I’m simply a user and affiliate of them. If you want to do your own research, you can grab a free trial to Market Movers with code BALLCARDGENIUS. You’d also get 20% off of your membership forever if you wanted to continue once your trial has been completed. You can also grab a free trial for Card Hedge as well.
These tools aren’t perfect; no tool is. I’ve seen instances where a graded card was being included in the raw numbers, which might cause a huge spike in value. So trust, but verify.
Is there any greater February sound then the click-clacking of metal baseball spikes running across pavement as players make their way from field to field?

1. Yerry De Los Santos, Yankees
As a card flipper, these are the types of headlines I live for:
New York Yankees Unheralded Pitcher Garnering Attention at Spring Training
“unheralded” - ”garnering attention” - ”yankees”
And then you look and his rookie autos are literally a couple of bucks.
Who is Yerry De Los Santos and why haven’t you heard of him?
At Triple-A, he registered a 5.79 ERA across his first 27 appearances. But with the help of minor league pitching coach Gerardo Casadiego, his production took off after he began honing in on his splitter.
“He added the split and then kind of fixed the split,” Yankees pitching coach Matt Blake said, via Brendan Kuty of The Athletic. “That kind of gave him a lefty weapon. And I actually think it gives him a righty weapon, too. It seems to be, like, an equalizer for him."
Over the final 24 appearances of 2024, De Los Santos registered an impressive 2.04 ERA. That level of dominance has carried over into the spring, as he is turning some heads and catching the attention of the right people, such as manager Aaron Boone. Source
