Check your Boxes—These 6 Valuable Sports Cards Might Be Waiting to be Unearthed...
I know a lot, but I don't know everything...yet! I love learning about valuable cards that could be hiding out in the deep, dark depths of a personal monster box or a value bin at the local card shop.

Man, I just love this stuff.
Right when you think you know all there is to know about this hobby, a new crop of valuable cardboard hits you out of nowhere.
You know, the $$$ cards that could be hiding out in the deep, dark depths of a personal monster box, in a value bin at the local card shop, or simply on CollX where a few clicks could net you a quick $100.
While a couple of the cards below are new to me, others are reminders of just how valuable something scarce and/or cool can be. Learn about it, search for it, sell it!
1. Tayshaun Prince 2004 Topps Chrome
Time and time again we have seen cards blow up in value because of something neat, weird, or funny in the background…
But what about for simply capturing an iconic moment?
It’s a little hard to make out from the above, but Pistons fans (and Pacers fans, unfortunately) know what this card is—it’s one of the most iconic blocks in NBA playoff history.
(Almost crazier, that game ended with such a low score by today’s standards, 72-67 (Game 6 was 69-65!)
Anyway, the Tayshaun Prince Topps Chrome (refractor) that captured the moment sells very well, with a recent copy finishing over $50, and a gold PSA 10 at $1,360!
This next one blew me away…how did it take me this long to know this?
