Flip Happens: 3 COMC Plays That Still Deliver

COMC isn’t the go-to tool it used to be for me, but it still comes through when I need it. Here are three flipping strategies that continue to work, even in 2025.

There are a lot of different ways to flip cards these days, and each platform has its own strengths. eBay is great for high-value sales and reach. CollX makes for a smooth, app-based experience with quick flips and fast sales. And then there’s COMC—part marketplace, part vault, part waiting game.

Even though I probably use COMC 1/10th as much as I used to, it still earns a place in my overall strategy. I mention it because, despite my lighter usage, I still make sales. And the reason I like COMC is that there are effectively a handful of different ways to sell a card.

That said, these are my favorite options:

  1. Buy an undervalued card and immediately reprice for sale

  2. Buy a card and wait for it to get hot

  3. Speculate a card is going to be in demand very soon

I’ve said it before, but I probably use COMC 1/10th of what I used to. I was a HEAVY user, and most of my TikTok and blog content was about COMC. I mention it because for as little as I use it, I still make sales.
