Hot Baseball Card Report 7/27/24
You’ll quickly notice this report is limited in details, but had to get the word out! I’m also trying out Substack’s mobile poster, so we will see how this goes.

This is not buying or investment advice. I’m simply reporting the data I’m seeing. Please do your own research and make your own decisions. Just because cards have increased in value up to this point, it doesn’t mean they will continue to do so.
And again, I’m getting all of this data from the Market Movers platform. If you want to do your own research, you can grab a free trial to Market Movers with code BALLCARDGENIUS. You’d also get 20% off of your membership forever if you wanted to continue once your trial has been completed.
Market Movers isn’t perfect; no tool is. I’ve seen instances where a graded card was being included in the raw numbers, which might cause a huge spike in value. So trust, but verify.
Thanks for bearing with me…I’m on a quick weekend trip (not the National) and thought I’d have better WiFi.
So, not as much details, but hopefully enough for you to sink your teeth into. (Formatting is also off a bit, FYI.)
Also, more than any week—check and double check. I usually like to verify trends from a few different angles before posting, but I don’t have that luxury right now. So, please practice due diligence.
Anyway, here goes!
1. Lawrence Butler is EVERYTHING Right Now
Lawrence Butler is all kinds of hot. I know I say when I mention a specific card of a player, check that player’s other cards because you might see the same patterns. Well, here we are talking about a green crackle /499 that is seeing crazy value, last selling for $12 on 7/26 just after selling for three times around 7/23 and 7/24 for around $10.
Thus, his Topps Black Gold auto, Heritage auto, and more are all 📈.
I buckled and spent a lot more than I wanted for a few PC cards, but am actually glad I did last week because they are only more valuable now. I also found a 1st Bowman Chrome Gold Refractor /50 I had hiding in my personal COMC inventory, so that was nice.
2. Tyler Fitzgerald is on an AMAZING Stretch
The one downside to Market Movers is that you’re limited to the players and cards in the Market Movers catalog. So, if a player comes up relatively out of nowhere, there aren’t going to be many cards, and there isn’t going to be much data.
Anyway, he has hit 7 home runs in 8 games. He is hot. His cards are hot.
