The weekend is just getting started, but these five hot cards are already making noise—with fresh sales data, standout performances, and signals you won’t want to miss.

This is not buying or investment advice. I’m simply reporting the data I’m seeing. Please do your own research and make your own decisions. Just because cards have increased in value up to this point, it doesn’t mean they will continue to do so.
I’m getting all of this data from either the Market Movers or Card Hedge platform. These are not my platforms, I’m simply a user and affiliate of them. If you want to do your own research, you can grab a free trial to Market Movers with code BALLCARDGENIUS. You’d also get 20% off of your membership forever if you wanted to continue once your trial has been completed. You can also grab a free trial for Card Hedge as well.
These tools aren’t perfect; no tool is. I’ve seen instances where a graded card was being included in the raw numbers, which might cause a misleading spike in value. So trust, but verify.
What should we be doing with this hot card info?
I personally see a few actions that could come from each of these articles. Each card and scenario will be different, but generally speaking.
Check online for hot cards still priced at “yesterday’s” market value/comps
Check online for hot card parallels priced at “yesterday’s” market value
Buy at today’s new comps if you really believe in the player
Sell hot cards if the profit margin makes sense
Monitor the hot/card player and pounce if they have another big game
And last but not least…
Mentally bookmark these names—sometimes it’s not about acting immediately, but being ready when the right opportunity comes up.
I’ve been talking about Yohendrick Pinango a bit more recently. This was a guy who was really cheap last year but there was quiet conversation about his potential.
This season, he’s hitting .326 with 7 homers. Not only that, though:
Through May 15th (full disclosure, I’m pre-writing this before the long weekend), the best hitter in the minor leagues, any league and any level, with a minimum of 100PA is New Hampshire Fisher Cats outfielder Yohendrick Pinango. Source
Bottom line, a great buy at yesterday’s prices.
So, let me tell you how excited I get when I receive messages like these from Ballcard Genius members:
That card sold for $60 a week ago; cheapest BIN option on eBay is $80. That’s a great find.
With that said, let’s take a look at today’s hot card entries, so far.
