We are all aware of the CollX inventory issues over the last 3 weeks, and as someone who uses it as my main sourcing platform, I can surely feel the difference.

I mean, up until a few days ago, I couldn’t remember the last time I didn’t have a package waiting for me at my PO Box. Now I can’t remember the last time I actually had something in there.

That said, I still have all the faith in the world in the app, and feel it can only get better from here. I mean, for the short time that the inventory was refreshing yesterday, I purchased 7 cards or so. I can only imagine the rate of growth it’s experiencing, so that means more sellers but it might also mean more hiccups.


Anyway, the question is, what do we do while we are “waiting”? Do purchases and sales come to a screeching halt? They might, but they don’t have to.

We not only need to have backup sourcing options, but we should have multiple at all times, and this is a reminder of that. I know some of you rely on Beckett Marketplace more than others, and that’s awesome. Some members also utilize their in-person options, which is also a great move.

For me, I fall back to COMC because it’s a platform I know very well and one I’ve had success with. It also has a handful of different paths you can take, which always keeps things interesting.

So that’s where I’ve found myself lately. Here’s a reminder of the 2-part strategy I’m currently relying on:
