I Bought a Card for $20 Last Week & Just Sold it for $100 ($85 After Fees)
This is not a brag post. It's simply to reinforce the things I've been saying since starting this newsletter—follow the trends, find the deals, make the sale.
If you haven’t heard, Deyvison De Los Santos’ cards are hot. Looking through his catalog, you’ll see a lot of “up and to the right.”
I bought a bunch of his cards a while ago, but nothing big—mostly mega box mojo refractors for a couple bucks each on COMC. Here is a sample of what I’m talking about:
But seeing his cards start to take off recently, I felt like I missed out a bit not buying bigger. That regret was quickly erased, though, by the reminder that I don’t have a crystal ball, and if I bought every prospect I thought was going to be good, I’d be out a lot of $$$ and with a bunch of cards I couldn’t pay people to take.

I was also encouraged by the fact that hey, it’s not like De Los Santos is a household name just yet, and there could certainly still be cards out there. While eBay has been cleared out of anything for sale below market value, other marketplaces might not have been just yet.
