Introducing Hobby High-Five: A Little Something for You, a Fellow Collector
I'm rolling out a fun way for you to receive surprise cards from my personal collection—no guarantees, just an occasional stash-pull sent to fellow collectors who want to share their interests.
If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you probably know me only as a card flipper. But at my core, I’m a collector first—always have been. (Got my start going to flea markets and garage sales with my dad, which is where the thrill of the hunt took over.)
I still get just as much joy out of sorting, organizing, and hunting down PC gems as I did when I first started. My personal collection (PC) tree has a ton of branches, but its roots are deep in the Oakland A’s—specifically Rickey Henderson, Jose Canseco, and Mark McGwire.

I even have folders of non-A’s player cards whop are pictured in the A’s dugout. (Very niche, but for whatever reason, the Coliseum dugouts are some of the most captured dugouts in the hobby.)
I also love 90s inserts (flashier the better) and, with that, have a soft spot for Ken Griffey Jr.
Anyway, as I go through boxes and boxes of cards, I constantly come across ones that feel like they should belong in someone else’s collection.

That’s where Hobby High-Five comes in.
What Is Hobby High-Five?
Every now and then, when I find a card that seems like the perfect fit, I’ll send it out to a fellow collector. No guarantees, no set schedule—just a surprise when it happens.
How It Works
If you're a paid subscriber, you can fill out the quick Google form at the end of this post to let me know what you (or your kids) collect.
The form will also ask for your mailing address so I know where to send a Hobby High-Five if the right card comes along. Your info stays private—just between you and me.
Every so often, I’ll dig into my stash and send out a Hobby High-Five—just because.
Why Paid Subscribers Only?
There are thousands of you here (which is amazing), but to keep this personal and manageable, I’m keeping it exclusive to paid subscribers.
If you’re a free subscriber and want to be part of this (and everything else we do here), consider upgrading. No pressure—just a fun way to make collecting even better.
Either way, I appreciate you being part of Ballcard Genius, truly. Here is the form:
