The hottest flips aren’t always about being early—they’re about being ready. Build your system, trust your process, and let the data guide the deals. Here are 6 more cards to get you thinking.

This is not buying or investment advice. I’m simply reporting the data I’m seeing. Please do your own research and make your own decisions. Just because cards have increased in value up to this point, it doesn’t mean they will continue to do so.
I’m getting all of this data from either the Market Movers or Card Hedge platform. These are not my platforms, I’m simply a user and affiliate of them. If you want to do your own research, you can grab a free trial to Market Movers with code BALLCARDGENIUS. You’d also get 20% off of your membership forever if you wanted to continue once your trial has been completed. You can also grab a free trial for Card Hedge as well.
These tools aren’t perfect; no tool is. I’ve seen instances where a graded card was being included in the raw numbers, which might cause a misleading spike in value. So trust, but verify.
What is it that makes you believe enough to buy into a player?
Recent performance?
Card sales volume?
Organization?
Age/Level?
Organizational outlook?
Home runs?
Strikeouts?
There are so many different factors!
Best I can say is, come up with a process and formula, and try to stick to it as much as possible. I know many young players look nice and shiny, but a lot of them won’t pan out. And if you’re only in it for the short term, that might be enough.
Either way, track trends. Compare comps. Be honest with yourself about risk and upside. Because while not every player will hit, the more consistent your approach, the more those wins start to add up.
Stick to your process, trust your gut, and enjoy the ride. Remember, too—flips don’t always have to be predictive. Some of my best came from me not “guessing right” on a player before they got hot, but scouring the corners of the internet for today’s hot cards still at yesterday’s prices.
1. Dakota Jordan, Giants Single-A
A turn-of-the-month power surge by Dakota Jordan puts his cards back on the list. The 22-year-old homered 6/29 and again on 7/1.
He hasn’t homered since, but he has hit in every July game so far, giving him a 6-game hitting streak. He’s hitting .301 with 7 homers 27 SB. His 62 RBIs is good for 9th in all of Minor League baseball.
