The Flip Files: Only $100 in Profit, But That's OK!
This article isn't about monster flips or flashy profits—but progress is progress. Whether it’s $10 or $100, these are the wins that keep the flip engine running.

This is not buying or investment advice. I’m simply reporting the data I’m seeing. Please do your own research and make your own decisions. Just because cards have increased in value up to this point, it doesn’t mean they will continue to do so.
I’ve only made about $100 in profit the last few days, but that’s totally fine.
Profit is profit
Cards that have been sitting for a while sold
The bulk of the profit came from a card I never touched
Now, I say "only $100" as a relative number. For you, $20 might be a win. For someone else, $250 might feel like a slow stretch. I call it “only $100” because I was aiming higher. The person saying “only” about their $250 might be used to flipping $500 every few days.
The point is: don’t beat yourself up. Maybe the sales aren’t coming. Or maybe the sales are coming, but the profit just isn’t there. That’s part of the game. You’re not going to hit on every card, and again, that’s OK. In most cases, my goal is for my worst case scenario to be break even. Check my tracker and you’ll see there plenty of flips that netted just a couple bucks.
So, needless to say that this Flip Files entry isn’t full of holiday weekend fireworks, but that’s the point. This was the perfect opportunity to slow down and remind you (and myself) of a few truths about flipping.
If you’re already locked in and the commentary above didn’t hit home, maybe you’ll find something to take away from the flips below (especially if you didn’t know how valuable some of these cards have become).
